Why Vinted labels don't print properly on a thermal printer

Thermal label printers like the Rollo, Munbyn, Zebra, Phomemo and Dymo 4XL print on 4×6 inch labels, also sold as A6 or 100×150 mm. Most shipping platforms let you download a 4×6 label. Vinted doesn't. It only gives you a PDF sized for a regular office printer:

  • A4 page in the UK and Europe
  • US Letter page (8.5×11 in) in the United States

The actual shipping label sits in one corner of that big page, surrounded by white space. There's no setting in the Vinted app or website to change the label size or format. Send that PDF to a 4×6 thermal printer and you'll usually get one of these:

  • The label prints tiny. The printer shrinks the whole page to fit a 4×6 label, and the barcode can become too small to scan.
  • Only part of the label prints, or it comes out cut off.
  • The label prints sideways or rotated.
  • A blank label comes out because the printer printed the empty corner of the page.
  • Several labels feed out for a single page.

The usual workaround is printing on paper, cutting the label out and taping it to the parcel, or cropping each PDF by hand. This converter does the cropping for you. It finds the label on the page, trims the white space and puts it on a proper 4×6 page your thermal printer understands.

How to print a Vinted label on a thermal printer

  1. Download your Vinted shipping label. In the Vinted app go to your sales, open the order and tap Download shipping label. You can also use the PDF from Vinted's email.
  2. Convert it to 4×6. Drop the PDF into the converter above. Add as many labels as you want; each becomes its own 4×6 page in one PDF.
  3. Print at 100% scale. Open the new PDF, choose your thermal printer, set the paper size to 4×6 in (100×150 mm) and the scale to 100% / Actual size. Don't use "Fit to page".

Shipping lots of orders? Convert them all in one go and print the whole batch at once instead of printing labels one by one.

What size is a Vinted label?

The shipping label itself is about 4×6 inches (roughly A6, 100×150 mm), the standard size for courier labels. Vinted delivers it placed on a full A4 (210×297 mm) or US Letter (8.5×11 in) page so it can be printed on any home printer. That's why it fits a 4×6 thermal label once the extra white space is removed, with no loss of quality.

This tool keeps the original label sharp. For PDF labels it crops the original vector artwork instead of taking a screenshot, so barcodes and QR codes scan just like the original.

Vinted label still not printing right?

  • Still printing small: the scale is set to "Fit". Change it to 100% or "Actual size".
  • Printing on half the label or skipping labels: the paper size is set to Letter or A4. Choose 4×6 in / 100×150 mm, then recalibrate the printer.
  • Printing to the wrong printer: check the printer dropdown; PDFs often default to your inkjet.
  • Faint or blotchy print: make sure you're using direct thermal labels and increase print darkness.
  • Label looks wrong after converting: use the original PDF from Vinted rather than a photo or screenshot.

Vinted label FAQ

Can you print Vinted labels on a thermal printer?

Yes, but not directly. Vinted only provides labels as full-size A4 or US Letter PDFs. Convert the PDF to 4×6 first (this tool does it in one click), then print it at 100% scale on your thermal printer.

Can I change the Vinted label size to 4×6 in the app?

No. Vinted has no setting for label size or format. You need to crop the label to 4×6 yourself or use a converter like this one.

Why is my Vinted label printing tiny on my Rollo or Munbyn?

The printer shrinks the whole A4 or Letter page to fit a 4×6 label, so the label ends up small and the barcode may not scan. Converting the label to a 4×6 PDF first fixes this.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The converter runs in your phone's browser. Download the label from the Vinted app, open this page, select the PDF and save or print the 4×6 result.

Can I convert multiple Vinted labels at once?

Yes. Select or drop several labels and you'll get one PDF with one 4×6 label per page, ready to batch print.

Which carriers does it work with?

The tool finds the label on the page automatically, so it's built to work with whichever carrier Vinted assigns: USPS, UPS, SpeedX, Evri, Royal Mail, InPost, DPD, Mondial Relay, Colissimo, DHL and others. If a label doesn't convert properly, try the original PDF rather than a screenshot.

Is it free? Is it safe?

It's completely free with no limits and no account, paid for by the ads on this page. It's also private. Your labels are converted inside your browser and never uploaded, so names and addresses stay on your device.

Is this an official Vinted tool?

No. It's an independent tool and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Vinted.
